Eakin Cohesive Seals form a waterproof barrier around the stoma between skin and pouch.  Designed to prevent leakage, they can help improve peristomal skin health.  Cohesive seals are moldable with out restricting the stoma.  They are a donut-shape ostomy accessory that can be molded to a variety of shapes. It acts as a gasket or barrier, and provides enhanced protection for hard-to-fit stomas. The unique moldable hydrocolloid barrier forms a gel that helps prevent skin damage by sealing the area between the skin and ostomy appliance.  They do not have to be cut to fit and one size fits all.  Cohesive seals will not sting the skin and to not lose stickiness after handling.  Also, they can be broken and rejoined or layered to fill uneven skin surfaces.  Cohesive seals to not dry out if left out of their packaging and they have been no reported cases of allergy to them.  Please note: This product does not contain latex. These are widely used by people with colostomies, ileostomies and urostomies to increase their ostomy appliance wear time.  Another option to these is the Convatec 25542 moldable stomahesive strips.
