KALTOSTAT® Calcium Sodium Alginate Wound Dressing

KALTOSTAT^® Calcium Sodium Alginate dressing is indicated for moderately to highly exuding chronic and acute wounds, and for wounds with minor bleeding.  KALTOSTAT dressing is a soft, sterile, wound dressing made of calcium-sodium alginate fiber that converts to a firm gel/fiber mat on contact with fluid. KALTOSTAT is designed to absorb exudate and to help control minor bleeding.  KALTOSTAT may be appropriately used for moderately to heavily exuding wounds including Stage II-IV pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, arterial and diabetic ulcers, donor sites, superficial burn wounds, lacerations and abrasions, traumatic wounds, and after-surgical wound debridement.
